This is a one-day, five-hour healthy "uncooking" class designed to teach you the basics of plant-based food preparation and the benefits of eating a whole food, raw, organic, plant-based diet.
Class Time: 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM
In this class you will learn:

How to prepare delicious plant-based recipes & meals, simply and easily.

How to shop for plant-based food.

How to get excited about plant-based food!
Delicious plant-based food preparation demonstrations, recipes and tastings are included.

New Frontiers Market (in San Luis Obispo, CA) has partnered with Raw Food Betsy to bring a raw food talk & demo to the community every month. These 1.5 hour classes are offered on the third Saturday of the month from 2:00 - 3:30 PM and are designed for raw foodies and raw-curious folks alike. Betsy will share her raw food journey, benefits of a raw food lifestyle, and plant-based food recipe demonstrations.

Healthy Plant-Based "Uncooking" Class
ADVANCED CHEF CLASS
Level II
NONE SCHEDULED AT THIS TIME
This
eight hour, two-day intensive class is designed to go beyond the
fundamental plant-based food preparation learned in the Beginning Chef Class (Level I) and into
more extensive plant-based food recipes and food techniques. From this class, you will become
proficient in preparing delicious gourmet plant-based food meals, sprouting and
dehydrating.
In addition to the food preparation, this class will cover:

How to encourage and help you stay raw.

Issues dealing with daily plant-based food living such as environment, friends and family, and traveling.

Share other people's experiences while eating plant-based foods.

The emotional and physical aspects of detoxing.
-
Basic sprouting techniques.
-
Simple dehydrating techniques.
-
How to adjust plant-based foods to meet specific needs.
-
Additional components that make-up a healthy plant-based food lifestyle and much more!
Upon completion of the Raw Food Advanced Chef Certification (Level II) two-day intensive class, you
will be recognized as a Certified Living on Live Food Instructor by Alissa Cohen and you will then be able to teach individuals and small groups the art of plant-based food
preparation (Beginning Chef Level I class) and lifestyle yourself. Delicious plant-based food demonstrations, recipes and tastings are included.
This eight hour, two-day intensive class will be scheduled at a future date on a demand basis.
